I excelled in order to be loved.

Now I want to be loved unconditionally.

I was secretive.

Now I want to reveal myself.

I was silent.

Now I want to speak and be heard.

I was reserved.

Now I love the freedom of being open and demonstrative

I strived to be straight, proper and perfect.

Now I allow myself to be clumsy and imperfect.

I trained myself not to cry.

Now I cry if I want to.

I had to learn to move forward alone.

Now I can move ahead on my own.

I always followed the rules and did as I was told.

Now I make the rules and it’s worth more than gold.
